You are invited to a public lecture by Dr. Andreas Kösteneberger at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford on Tuesday 8 June at 5:15. Andreas Köstenberger will discuss various topics covered in his new book A Theology of John’s Gospel: The Word, the Christ, the Son of God. These will include John’s Gospel’s historical framework, its literary foundations, its major themes and Johannine theology and the canon of Scripture. With regard to John’s relationship with the Synoptics, Dr Köstenberger will discuss how John interpreted, developed, and transposed the Synoptic pattern in a way that shows him to be at once “dependent” and yet “independent” of the other canonical Gospels.
